German - Cases, Regular Verbs, Haben

Chapter 2 of my German textbook. To start, here are declensions of the definite article.
The infinitive: stem plus ending (en or n)
  • Gehen (to go)
  • Sagen (to say)
  • Liefern (to supply, deliver)
  • Handeln (to act)
Present tense of regular verbs – THREE meanings!

Present tense of haben (to have): ich habe, du hast, er hat, sie hat, er hat, wir haben, ihr habt, sie haben, Sie haben
  • Notice how 2dsing and 3dsing drop the “b”!
  • es-ten-ten is a good mnemonic for memorizing the endings of weak (regular) verbs in the present tense.
